in search of a fashion utopia

i’m always fascinated by the beauty of art and fashion. and when i envision the two collaborating unexpectedly, it’s an epiphany for me - it’s comforting and inspiring.

after searching for several weeks for the ideal photo shoot location to complement the concept for my entry to Discarded to Divine, i was overwhelmed and almost trembling with creative juices when i immediately became obsessed with the details of the sculptures by Yefeng Wang and paintings by Lee Ables at The Artists Alley Fine Art Gallery in san francisco.  by the end of the night i knew this was the premier location for my upcoming photo shoot.

i had the pleasure to peruse The Artists Alley during the 2011 Hep B Free Calendar Launch Party (12.15.2010) titled “B Sure. Be Tested. B Free” and i was amazed at the uncanny bay area talent that graced the walls of this fine art gallery and the support that this gallery had put behind the passion of these artists.

i was encircled by oil paintings, mix media, sculptures, and positive and creative minds.  and when in those surroundings, you can’t help to be inspired to draw from that aura and turn it into a legacy.

here’s a toast to the legacy of supporting local artists and discovering more than Picasso. cheers!
