we took a long look at MSN Entertianment’s list of “gorgeous and over 50” and found a lot to be missing from their results – lack of diversity, lack of practicality, and lack of hope.  calling out celebrities like “cher”, helen mirren, susan sarandon, madonna, jane seymour, kevin costner, meryl streep, bruce willis, and 13 others.

so of course, Gaudy or Gorgeous was inclined to bring realism to “gorgeous and over 50” and evaluate the hits and misses of MSN Entertainment’s report.  coming up with 21 celebrities that are a mix of power-players and the unsung heart-throbs - who we still desire to see on the big screen, hear on albums, and watch grace the runway or magazine cover.  after going through ahr.es.ihm’s algorithm of what’s hot or not, we decided the following 21 celebrities appealed to more of the masses for the 2011 report of “gorgeous and over 50”.
